Weather radar — subsystem software

Problem

A national weather radar program required a complete, traceable software requirements specification for its modules, and the development of the PC-based subsystems.

Solution

Requirements specification (SRS) for the modules —Control Unit (UC), Processing (UP), Storage (UA) and Antenna Control (CA)— and software development in line with the SRS, supporting ICD definition with the rest of the hardware.

Technology

IEEE requirements-engineering practices, embedded software on Linux and subsystem integration.

Outcome

Radar subsystems specified, developed and deployed according to specification.

Deliverables

UC/UP/UA/CA SRS, UC/UA/UP software and ICD support documentation.
