Systems for remote environments

We bring mission-critical engineering discipline to industry and mining: access control, traceability, computer vision, IoT and AI satellite-image analysis to operate in remote, hostile environments.

Access controlComputer visionIndustrial IoT

NYTT integrates software, embedded hardware, sensors and AI for safety and operational efficiency at hard-to-reach sites. Over successive projects it built an end-to-end access control and traceability platform (Trackytt) that now runs at several mine sites. The group is completed by Nytt CL (Chile), focused on smart logistics and AI-assisted industrial management for mining.

What we solve
  • Reduces operational risk and improves the safety of people and assets.
  • Automates access control to risk zones at remote sites.
  • Ensures real-time traceability of people, vehicles and assets.
  • Integrates embedded hardware, PLCs and sensors with web management platforms.

Trackytt — Access control and traceability

Problem
Managing access, traceability and the safety of people and assets across distributed, hard-to-reach mine sites.
Solution
Trackytt, NYTT's end-to-end access control and traceability platform; its current version (Trackytt 2.0) unifies access control, tracking and sensor management, with embedded controllers and PLC integration.
Technology
Linux server, embedded hardware, PLC, e-Beacon tags, NTCIP signalling.
Outcome
Unified access control and traceability, deployed across more than twenty autonomous access islands.
Deliverables
Trackytt platform, barrier controllers, integrations and documentation.

02

AI computer vision on FPGA

Problem
Enabling autonomous access to controlled zones by verifying the vehicle and safety-rule compliance, with low latency.
Solution
An AI computer-vision system on FPGA that recognizes the vehicle (type and unit number) and surrounding objects, able to add personal-protective-equipment checks before granting access.
Technology
FPGA, edge image processing, AI models, OCR.
Outcome
Autonomous access island with low-latency inference running at the edge on an FPGA platform.
Deliverables
FPGA design, vision pipeline, barrier integration and documentation.

Geolocating personnel and assets, and managing sensors, at remote sites with limited connectivity.
Solution
A tracking system for people, vehicles, equipment and assets, with real-time sensor management, integrated into the management platform.
Technology
IoT, geolocation, sensors, Linux server, mobile apps.
Outcome
Operational traceability and monitoring in hard-to-reach environments.
Deliverables
Tracking software, sensor integration and operations dashboards.

ZAHIR — Mineral exploration with satellite imagery and AI

Problem
Early mineral exploration is expensive, slow and scattered: huge areas, heterogeneous data and field campaigns worth millions before knowing where to look.
Solution
ZAHIR turns satellite imagery and terrain elevation models into prioritized exploration targets: it detects mineral alteration, extracts terrain structure —drainage, lineaments and intersections— and crosses both layers to produce scored targets. It tells the geologist where to look first.
Technology
Sentinel-2, ASTER and the EMIT hyperspectral sensor; computer vision and AI with explainable, reproducible methods; REST API and GeoJSON export compatible with QGIS/ArcGIS.
Outcome
Prioritized, explainable exploration targets that shrink the area to survey in the field. The platform is under active development; calibration and field validation adapt to each geological context.
Deliverables
ZAHIR platform, detection layers and georeferenced targets, GeoJSON export and documentation.
